Leadership Lab Teacher (Itinerant)
QUALIFICATIONS
Tennessee Teaching License
REPORTS TO
Principal
JOB GOALS
To equip students with the character and life skills needed to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally-empowering them to make positive choices and contribute to their school and community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Plan and deliver engaging lessons focused on character development (e.g., respect, responsibility, kindness, integrity, perseverance) Teach age-appropriate life skills such as problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and decision-making Model positive behavior and reinforce expectations aligned with school-wide practices Facilitate discussions, activities, and reflections that encourage self-awareness and personal growth Guide and support students in developing self awareness and relationship skil ls, including conflict resolution and emotional regulation Collaborate with classroom teachers and staff to reinforce character and life skills across all settings Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment Monitor student progress and provide feedback to students and staff as needed Communicate with families regarding character initiatives and ways to support at home
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This job may require lifting of objects that exceed 40 pounds with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighting up to 20 pounds. Other physical demands that may be required are as follows: Ability to prepare for assigned duties.

Specific capacities and abilities may be required of an individual in order to learn to perform adequately a task or job duty. Ability to discipline/manage students.

Salary and work year to be established by Board.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
