About You We're looking for someone who: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 20 years of healthcare industry experience, including at least 10 years leading an advisory program. Proven creative and effective team leadership skills in program building. Proficient in analytical tools and software to independently perform building analysis and data analytics. Strong skills in the Microsoft Office Suite. Critical thinker with the ability to lead independently and integrate the advisory program within wider business objectives. Willingness and ability to travel significantly (50-60%) across client sites and firm Healthcare Studio locations. Position based in Nashville, TN. Preferred background as a hospital administrator, healthcare facilities planner, or clinician within a healthcare system. Preferred experience managing healthcare consultant teams in design services firms or large healthcare organizations. About the Role The Vice President of Advisory Services will lead and be primarily responsible for the Advisory Consulting program within Gresham Smith's Healthcare Market. This program represents the relationship and early engagement with clients, providing strategic planning, problem definition, and setting direction for future capital projects. The role also leads the Research & Insights Program, both of which drive early client relationships, increase company visibility, and enhance innovative design solutions. As the Vice President of Advisory Services , you will be responsible for the following: People & Culture Lead, build, and nurture a high-performing team of advisory services experts. Recruit, onboard, and mentor team members to develop internal capabilities. Strengthen and expand relationships with internal and external consultants to support pre-project advisory services. Provide education to internal staff about the value and use of advisory services. Create and maintain a collaborative program culture aligned with firm-wide business and cultural goals. Practice Delivery Organize and drive the vision for the Advisory Services program, creating a new service line within the Healthcare Market. Develop and integrate the program with the core architect-engineer service lines. Lead strategic transformation efforts focusing on design thinking, functional programming, problem definition, data analytics, operational planning, and change management. Manage the implementation of project programming benchmarking in the Vision database. Promote and advance the market's six healthcare design drivers under Value-Added Design. Monitor industry trends, anticipate shifts, and adapt the program to meet evolving healthcare and workplace needs. Clients & Business Outcomes Directly engage clients during early project phases, assisting with problem definition, strategic planning, feasibility, and program validation. Collaborate closely with the Healthcare Market Executive Vice President (EVP) to align program goals with strategic plans. Lead and participate in business development by researching and targeting clients that align with the firm's strategy. Enhance Gresham Smith's reputation as a thought leader through published materials, conference presentations, and social media engagement. Lead team presentations and client interactions in partnership with marketing to win new business. Identify business opportunities based on emerging healthcare trends and client feedback.
