The Healthcare Compliance Audit Specialist II collaborates with operational, clinical, and leadership teams to assess compliance risks, evaluate internal controls, investigate potential noncompliance, and support corrective action and remediation efforts across the organization. This opportunity is full time located at 9200 Wall Street Austin, TX 78754. In this role, you will: Actively contribute to and participate in compliance programs for the main laboratory and regional laboratories. Establish and manage systems designed to identify and mitigate risks before they lead to costly and illegal issues. Plan, execute, and document risk-based compliance audits and monitoring activities in accordance with the Compliance Work Plan Recognize when corrective action is necessary and implement effective solutions. Act as a compliance liaison between our laboratory and clients, as well as regulatory bodies and legal partners. Administer Compliance Hotline cases from intake through investigation, resolution, and follow-up Be an integral part of a team that values excellence, respect, honesty, responsibility and accountability all while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Travel (30%) to various locations to conduct laboratory audits.
All you need is:
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Compliance, Health Sciences, Healthcare Data Science, or Healthcare Administration Good knowledge of Healthcare Compliance Regulations, including but not limited to Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statue, HIPAA 3 years of experience in medical and/or laboratory billing Excellent communication and presentation skills: written and verbal Strong skills in excel and other auditing/monitoring software Detail oriented Ability to provide guidance to leaders and team members in supporting governance and compliance matters Bonus points if you've got: 1 year of compliance experience in the healthcare field Experience with billing and laboratory information systems such as XiFin and Misys We'll give you: Appreciation for your work A feeling of satisfaction that you've helped people Opportunity to grow in your profession Free lab services for you and your dependents Work-life balance, including Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Competitive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance Help saving for retirement, with a 401(k) plus a company match A sense of belonging - we're a community!
