Special Ed Teacher | Austin, Texas Soliant - 3.9 Austin, TX Job Details Contract $38 - $43 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications Teaching Certification Working with students with special education needs Special Education Certification Full Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Step into a rewarding special education role for the 2026-2027 school year in vibrant South Austin. As a vital part of the support team, you'll instruct resource math to approximately 30 students in grades EC-6, making a positive impact where it counts most. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM, aligning with a balanced work-life rhythm. Your expertise will shape individual learning journeys—particularly through direct involvement in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, where collaboration and contribution are essential. This position is ideal for educators who thrive in dynamic, inclusive environments and are ready to champion both academic and personal growth for each student.
Qualifications:
Valid Texas Educator License, with EC-6 Special Education and Core/Generalist Endorsements required Demonstrated experience with Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) processes Comfortable facilitating and participating actively in ARD meetings Familiarity with best practices in resource math instruction at the elementary level Commitment to adhering to school culture and dress code policies (no visible tattoos, single color hair, professional attire, and earrings limited to basic studs/hoops) Passion for supporting diverse learners with varying needs
Primary Responsibilities:
