Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Key Qualifications:
Valid Special Education teaching certification or eligibility for certification Experience designing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Familiarity with evidence-based instructional strategies for students with disabilities Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with families, staff, and administrators Dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment Experience with behavioral intervention plans is a plus
Core Responsibilities:
Develop, adapt, and deliver lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and abilities Assess student needs and progress, modifying instructional methods as necessary Collaborate with general education teachers to support integration and success across subjects Provide ongoing communication with families regarding student progress and development Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines Participate in professional development and team meetings to ensure best practices
