A special education teaching opportunity is available at an elementary school in Del Valle, TX, seeking a qualified professional to fill a resource/inclusion teaching position. This contract role is focused on supporting students with special needs in an inclusive classroom setting, providing tailored educational strategies to help each student succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure an inclusive learning environment Adapt instructional methods and materials to meet student abilities and needs Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of performance and behavior Provide direct instructional support within the resource and inclusion classroom settings
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Certification or licensure in Special Education Experience working with elementary school students in resource or inclusion classrooms Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, and classroom best practices Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to create a positive, supportive learning environment tailored to each student's unique needs
