Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Make an impact every day by supporting students with visual impairments in a full-time, contract opportunity near Frisco, TX. As a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, your expertise and dedication will help create an inclusive educational environment where every student can thrive.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Texas teaching license with certification for the visually impaired Experience working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired or similar roles in school settings is highly desirable Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families Ability to adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to meet individual student needs Passion for empowering students with visual impairments to reach their academic and personal goals
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with visual impairments in accordance with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Adapt classroom materials and develop resources to support accessible learning Collaborate with general education teachers and staff to modify lessons and ensure a supportive classroom environment Monitor student progress and document achievements toward IEP goals Support the use of assistive technology and mobility techniques within the school community Provide training and guidance to staff and families on techniques for working with visually impaired students Foster a positive, engaging learning environment focused on student potential and success
