Provide professional development, coaching, and technical assistance to support district and campus leaders in designing, implementing, and strengthening Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) with a focus on behavior, social-emotional learning (SEL), classroom management, and school culture. Support the development of proactive, data-driven systems that improve student outcomes, strengthen classroom environments, and reduce discipline practices that remove students from instruction.Qualifications:
Education Master's degree Certification Texas Teacher Certificate (preferred in secondary content areas) School Counselor Certification (preferred) Experience Five years of teaching or related experience supporting student behavior, classroom management, school climate, and discipline systems Three years of experience in leadership roles related to MTSS, PBIS, SEL, behavior intervention, or school climate Experience developing and delivering professional development for educators and/or leaders Experience supporting the implementation of behavior systems, SEL frameworks, and MTSS at the campus and district level Special Knowledge and Skills Deep knowledge of MTSS frameworks, including Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 supports for behavior and social-emotional development Expertise in PBIS implementation, systems design, and fidelity monitoring Knowledge of social-emotional learning (SEL) frameworks and integration into daily instruction and school systems Understanding of effective classroom management strategies and practices that promote engagement and positive behavior Knowledge of restorative practices and alternatives to discipline practices that remove students from instruction Understanding of behavior intervention planning (BIP), functional behavior assessment (FBA), and data-based decision making Ability to analyze discipline, attendance, and climate data to drive system-level improvement Strong facilitation, coaching, and communication skills with diverse stakeholdersMajor Responsibilities:
Develop, present, and facilitate professional development focused on MTSS, behavior systems, SEL, classroom management, and school culture. Provide coaching and technical assistance to district and campus leaders on designing and implementing integrated systems that support behavior, social-emotional development, and positive school climate. Support campuses in strengthening Tier 1 systems, including classroom management, relationship-building practices, and culturally responsive learning environments. Assist districts in implementing PBIS frameworks and monitoring fidelity of behavior systems across campuses. Support the design and implementation of Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions for behavior and social-emotional needs. Guide districts in implementing restorative practices and proactive approaches that reduce discipline practices that remove students from instruction. Assist districts and campuses in analyzing discipline, attendance, and climate data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement. Develop tools, resources, and protocols to support classroom management, SEL integration, and behavior systems implementation. Partner with districts to align behavior, SEL, and discipline systems within broader MTSS and integrated student support frameworks. Assist with planning and implementation of ongoing needs assessment and services for Region 4 customer districts related to behavior, SEL, and school climate. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment across special education, counseling, attendance, and other support services. Participate in state and regional initiatives related to MTSS, SEL, PBIS, and school climate and stay current on policy and best practices. Provide technical assistance and services as specified by any applicable federal or state programs that support MTSS and student support systems. by any applicable federal or state programs that support emergent bilingual students.
