Immediately Job Description Primary Purpose Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to fulfill their maximum potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and technology skills in digital literacy, productivity applications, coding, computational thinking, online safety, and responsible technology use aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Technology Applications. Qualifications Education/Certification Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate certification for Technology Applications or related field such as Computer Information Systems, Technology Applications early childhood-12th grade, and Mathematics/Physical Science/Engineering Grades 6-12 Special Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of Technology Applications TEKS for middle school grades
  • Ability to teach digital literacy, coding, keyboarding, multimedia, and computer applications
  • Knowledge of educational technology tools, learning management systems, and online instructional platforms
  • Strong classroom management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to integrate technology into instruction and support student engagement
  • Knowledge of internet safety, cybersecurity awareness, and digital citizenship Experience Student teaching or approved internship
  • Experience integrating technology into classroom instruction preferred Major Responsibilities and Duties Instructional Strategies Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with TEKS and district curriculum requirements.
2. Teach technology applications including digital literacy, coding, multimedia presentations, keyboarding, and productivity software. 3. Integrate technology tools and project-based learning strategies into instruction. 4. Promote responsible and ethical use of technology and digital resources. 5. Differentiate instruction according to student needs, abilities, and learning styles. 6. Maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning and technology use. 7. Monitor and support student use of technology resources and devices. Student Growth and Development Encourage creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. 9. Establish and maintain standards of student behavior. 10. Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback. 11. Assist students in developing effective technology and communication skills. Program Management Maintain inventory and care of computers, devices, and instructional technology equipment. 13. Ensure compliance with district technology policies and acceptable use procedures. 14. Assist in development and implementation of campus technology initiatives. 15. Support technology integration and digital learning opportunities for students. Communication Maintain professional relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and community members. 17. Communicate effectively regarding student achievement and instructional activities. Professional Growth and Development Participate in professional development activities related to educational technology and instructional practices. 19. Stay current with emerging educational technology tools, digital resources, and best practices. Other Attend faculty meetings and required district events. 21. Perform other duties as assigned by campus administration. Supervisory Responsibilities Direct student aides and technology-related student activities as assigned. Working Conditions
