Duties Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that promote literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management strategies and individualized attention to meet each child's unique needs. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support children with special education needs and early intervention programs. Conduct assessments to monitor developmental progress and prepare reports for parent-teacher conferences, including standardized testing when applicable. Create a safe, clean, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning through hands-on activities. Manage daily classroom routines such as circle time, playtime, snack time, and rest periods while maintaining discipline and promoting good behavior. Support children's welfare by ensuring proper childcare practices and adhering to health and safety regulations in daycare or preschool settings. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education methodologies including Montessori approaches. Experience in curriculum development tailored for preschoolers with an emphasis on literacy education, math skills, and physical activity. Proven classroom management skills to maintain an organized, respectful learning environment. Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including toddlers requiring specialized care or early intervention services. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with parents, colleagues, and specialists to support student growth. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring techniques suitable for preschool-aged children. Knowledge of behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional regulation.
