As a Lead Teacher, you will collaborate with colleagues and families to ensure each child's social, emotional, and cognitive growth is supported in a safe and stimulating setting. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth in two-year-olds. Lead daily classroom activities that foster curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies. Design lesson plans that incorporate Montessori principles, early intervention techniques, and standards for childhood development. Monitor individual progress through observations and assessments; adjust teaching strategies accordingly to meet each child's needs. Manage classroom routines including diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play while ensuring safety and hygiene standards are upheld. Communicate regularly with families about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong partnerships. Supervise assistant teachers and support staff to maintain an organized, inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and growth. Requirements Proven experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, specifically with toddlers aged two years old. Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles including curriculum development, behavior management, and classroom management techniques. Familiarity with special education strategies and early intervention practices tailored for young children. Certification in early childhood education or related fields; Montessori training or preschool experience is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, families, colleagues, and community partners. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
