Job Description

Job Summary Join us as a Summer Camp Teacher and ignite the imaginations and confidence of children through engaging, dynamic activities! In this energetic role, you will create a safe, nurturing environment where kids can explore new interests, develop essential skills, and build lasting friendships. Your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire young learners to embrace creativity, teamwork, and personal growth throughout the summer season. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable experience in education and childcare. Duties Lead and facilitate a variety of camp activities including sports, arts and crafts, theater, and outdoor games to ensure an exciting and inclusive experience for all children Maintain a safe environment by supervising children at all times, enforcing rules, and managing behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management strategies Implement age-appropriate educational activities that support childhood development, early childhood education principles, and special education needs when applicable Provide first aid when necessary, ensuring the health and safety of every camper by following established protocols Collaborate with fellow staff members to plan daily schedules that balance structured learning with free play and social interaction Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise during camp hours Support children's emotional well-being through Christian counseling techniques or other nurturing approaches as needed Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp programs is highly desirable Strong classroom management skills with the ability to guide behavior positively and effectively Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not already certified Knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education practices, and special education considerations Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members confidently Ability to lead activities in sports coaching, theater productions, or other creative outlets is a plus Passion for working with children and fostering their growth in a fun, supportive environment Join our team as a Summer Camp Teacher where your energy fuels unforgettable experiences!
