Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote early literacy, math skills, social-emotional development, and physical activity aligned with early childhood education standards. Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management strategies tailored for two-year-olds. Engage children in hands-on activities that support childhood development milestones, including language acquisition, motor skills, and sensory exploration. Collaborate with families to communicate children's progress, address individual needs—including special education or early intervention requirements—and foster strong home-school connections. Maintain accurate documentation of developmental assessments, lesson plans, attendance records, and standardized testing results as needed. Ensure safety and well-being by adhering to childcare regulations, supervising children at all times, and implementing best practices in toddler care. Incorporate diverse teaching methods such as Montessori techniques or other educational philosophies to enhance learning experiences. Experience Prior classroom experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children in daycare settings or private schools is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and classroom management techniques specific to early learners. Experience developing curriculum content that includes literacy education, math concepts, physical education activities, and behavioral guidance strategies. Familiarity with special education practices and early intervention programs to support children with diverse learning needs. Strong communication skills for effectively collaborating with parents, colleagues, and specialists in early childhood education environments. Previous experience with classroom experience involving lesson planning, standardized testing preparation, tutoring or teaching physical education is advantageous.
