Description/Notes:

Provide students identified with dyslexia an intensive, multisensory, phonetic instructional program that includes writing, spelling, and readingponents. Provide students the opportunity to make significant gains in reading and developpetencies and skills to function successfully in society.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for assignment Special Education Certification, preferred Specialized training in Dyslexia and Related Disorders, preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:

Knowledge of reading, writing, and spelling instructional strategies Knowledge of 504 process Knowledge of Admission, Revie, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individualized Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation Ability to administer certain assessments for identification of dyslexia Ability to analyze, interpret, and use student data Strong organization,munication, and interpersonal skills

Experience:

At least one year student teaching or approved internship Two years teaching reading, preferred

Salary Range:

Salary Starting at: $52,100

Stipend:

$2,000 MFISD offers aprehensive benefits package to employees.
