Primary Purpose:
To work with teachers and students to promote a wholesome and efficient school environment.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
Associate's Degree. 48 Semester hours or Academic Assessment. Ability to meet the No Child Left Behind requirements. High School Diploma.
Special Knowledge Skills:
Experience:
Experience in working with youth. Knowledge of computers preferred.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Monitor students' learning styles. Encourage and support student efforts. Observe and report learning problems and strengths to appropriate staff. Check plan for student assignments; ensure proper care of equipment and courseware. Maintain materials/equipment. Create files for student progress. Assist with administering and scoring of placement tests. Record test scores. Instruct students in use of instructional materials and computer software. Monitor progress and attendance of students. Provide individual instructional in deficient subject areas. Advice supervisor/teacher of specific student needs. Track attendance/progress of individual student. Refer students to counseling staff. Record/maintain student records in Behavior Modification Plan. Generate reports of student records/tests. Fulfill other duties as assigned by the campus principal.
