Full-Time Position Summary Reach Academy Christian School is seeking a compassionate, flexible, and student-centered Special Education Teacher to lead the
R.A.I.S.E.
(Reach Academy Individualized Support & Education) classroom. The
R.A.I.S.E.
Teacher will provide individualized instruction and academic support in a nontraditional learning environment where students may be working at different grade and skill levels. Students may have diverse learning profiles including autism, ADHD, learning differences, behavioral needs, and other exceptional learning needs. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students succeed through differentiated instruction, relationship-building, and individualized learning strategies while supporting the mission and values of Reach Academy Christian School. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Instruction & Student Learning Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with diverse learning needs Develop and implement differentiated lessons based on student ability and learning profiles Modify curriculum, assignments, and instructional strategies as needed Monitor and document student progress toward academic and behavioral goals Provide remediation and intervention support where needed Create engaging learning experiences that promote independence and student success Student Support & Classroom Environment Create and maintain a structured, positive, and supportive classroom environment Utilize positive behavior support and classroom management strategies Support students with social-emotional development and self-regulation skills Implement accommodations and individualized learning plans Assist students with executive functioning, organization, and independent work skills Collaboration Collaborate with the
R.A.I.S.E.
Director, classroom aides, general education teachers, therapists, and parents Participate in parent conferences and student support meetings Communicate regularly regarding student progress and concerns Work collaboratively to identify interventions and support strategies Documentation & Assessment Maintain accurate student records and progress documentation Conduct ongoing informal assessments and monitor growth Assist with student support recommendations and educational planning Document accommodations and intervention strategies as required by school procedures Classroom Leadership Supervise classroom aides and delegate instructional support activities Maintain classroom organization and instructional materials Promote a respectful and Christ-centered learning environment Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or related field required Teaching certification preferred Special Education certification strongly preferred Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience preferred Experience working with autism, ADHD, learning differences, behavioral needs, or exceptional learners strongly preferred Knowledge of differentiated instruction and intervention strategies Strong classroom management and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in a nontraditional, individualized, or multi-grade learning environment ABA experience or behavior intervention experience Experience with inclusion models and accommodations Knowledge of executive functioning supports and sensory strategies Personal Characteristics Compassionate and patient Flexible and adaptable Organized and self-motivated Strong relationship builder Collaborative team member Passionate about helping students reach their full potential
Work Schedule Monday-Friday School Hours:
8:30 AM-3:00
PM Teacher Hours:
8:00 AM-4:00 PM Suggested Salary Range (Texas Private School / Specialized Program) $40,000-$50,000
