Description/Notes:
The Functional Academics/Life Skills Teacher will design and implement individualized educational programs (IEPs) that focus on functional academics,munication, social skills, and daily living skills. The teacher will collaborate closely with staff, families, and support personnel to ensure student success in a structured and supportive environment.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certificate in Special Education
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning and behavioral needs preferred
  • Knowledge of IEP development, behavior intervention plans, and differentiated and modified instruction
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Commitment to fostering student independence and growth
Salary Range:
