The ideal candidate will foster academic excellence while integrating biblical principles into daily instruction. This position is responsible for teaching middle school mathematics and science courses utilizing the Abeka curriculum, creating an engaging classroom environment, and partnering with parents to support student growth both academically and spiritually. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Teach middle school mathematics and science courses using the Abeka curriculum. Develop and implement daily lesson plans aligned with curriculum objectives and school standards. Create a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment that promotes student success. Integrate biblical worldview principles into all areas of instruction. Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, tests, projects, and classroom participation. Maintain accurate gradebooks, attendance records, and student documentation. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and parent conferences. Maintain classroom discipline consistent with school policies and Christian values. Collaborate with administration and fellow faculty members to support school-wide initiatives. Qualifications Personal commitment to Jesus Christ and agreement with the school's statement of faith. Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, or a related field preferred but not required. Prior classroom teaching experience preferred. Strong classroom management and organizational skills. Ability to effectively teach and engage middle school students. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, students, and families. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and actively supervise students throughout the school day. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to perform classroom and supervisory duties as required.
