Healthcare Billing Specialist

About the Position We are currently seeking experienced Healthcare Billing Specialists to join our on-site team supporting a fast-paced, high-volume medical operation. This role is intended for candidates with prior medical billing experience and strong knowledge of revenue cycle processes. Openings are available within three primary areas: Claims Processing, Denials & Accounts Receivable Follow-Up, and Payment Posting. Successful candidates must demonstrate accuracy, efficiency, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage daily productivity expectations in a deadline-driven environment. Available Roles Claims Processing Process and submit approximately 80-150 claims daily Ensure claims are transmitted within 24-48 hours of patient encounters Review patient demographics, insurance information, CPT/ICD-10 coding, and modifiers for accuracy Identify and correct claim errors prior to submission Denials & Accounts Receivable Follow-Up Handle approximately 40-60 accounts per day Follow up on unpaid, denied, or aging claims Investigate denial reasons and coordinate resolution efforts Prepare and submit corrected claims, appeals, and reconsideration requests Payment Posting Accurately post insurance payments, including ERAs, EFTs, and EOBs Apply patient payments and reconcile daily deposits Process contractual adjustments, reversals, and write-offs Research and resolve payment posting discrepancies and variances Qualifications Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on medical billing or revenue cycle experience Solid understanding of healthcare billing workflows and reimbursement processes Working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, and insurance payer requirements Experience using practice management software and claim clearinghouse platforms Ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume setting Behavioral health billing experience is a plus Core Competencies High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to maintain productivity and meet daily performance goals Strong organizational and time management skills Effective problem-solving and communication abilities Capable of working independently while collaborating within a team environment Hiring Process Initial interviews will be conducted in person at our office location Selected candidates will complete a billing and revenue cycle knowledge assessment Professional references will be required during the hiring process We are seeking dependable, long-term candidates committed to excellence and accountability

Pay:

$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
