Voice Teacher for Private and Group Lessons

Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Voice Instructor to lead both private and group voice classes for students of all ages and skill levels. This role is ideal for an instructor who enjoys building confidence, healthy vocal technique, musicianship, and stage presence in both one-on-one and group settings. You will inspire students through engaging, supportive, and creative instruction in a paid, in-person position within a welcoming music academy environment. Responsibilities Teach engaging private and group voice lessons for children, teens, and adults. Develop customized vocal warm-ups, technique exercises, and repertoire based on each student's goals and level. Teach breath control, tone production, diction, posture, and healthy vocal technique. Develop ensemble skills in group classes including listening, harmony, blend, and rhythm. Support students preparing for recitals, auditions, performances, and competitions. Build confidence and stage presence through performance coaching. Maintain a positive, respectful, and motivating learning environment. Communicate with families regarding student progress and expectations. Participate in recitals, showcases, special events, and occasional birthday parties as needed. Maintain attendance and basic student progress records. Qualifications Degree in voice performance, music education, or current enrollment in a music program (or equivalent teaching/performing experience). Experience teaching both private and group voice classes. Strong knowledge of vocal pedagogy and healthy vocal technique. Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills. Energetic, reliable, and professional personality. Comfort working with children, teens, and/or adults. Compensation Competitive hourly rates based on experience, with additional pay for performances and special events. Schedule Part-time, afternoons/evenings and some weekends.
