Turf Care Technician/Specialist

Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Turf Care Technician to join our lawn care team. This role focuses on maintaining healthy, green, and weed-free turf for our clients through a professional treatment program. The ideal candidate has 2 years of hands-on experience in turf health, product application, and customer communication. Key Responsibilities Apply fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides, and other turf care products according to company programs and safety standards. Diagnose turf health issues (weeds, pests, diseases, nutrient deficiencies) and implement treatment solutions. Perform seasonal turf care services such as aeration, overseeding, and soil conditioning. Safely operate and maintain turf care equipment (spreaders, sprayers, aerators, etc.). Keep accurate mandated records of applications, products used, and site conditions. Monitor client lawns and communicate professional recommendations for ongoing improvement. Follow all safety, environmental, and state/local regulations for product applications. Qualifications Possession of a State Pesticide Applicator License or Registered Technician Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience applying turf treatments (fertilizers, weed control, pest/disease treatments, etc.). Knowledge of turfgrass species, soil health, fertilizers, and pest/weed management. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions. Strong attention to detail and customer service skills. Ability to lift 50 lbs. and operate turf equipment safely. Preferred Experience in diagnosing advanced turf issues and creating treatment plans. Background in lawn care, landscaping, or turf management education. Energetic candidate who can work independently, expand our program, and grow into a leadership role. Bilingual a plus.
