Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Embark on a rewarding adventure shaping the success of students as a Special Education Teacher for the academic year. This full-time, contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with dedicated professionals and impact young learners in a supportive, resource-rich environment. Your expertise will support co-taught classrooms for grades 3-4 at a primary school, and grades 7-8 at a middle school, with manageable caseloads of fewer than 10 students per assignment. These focused groups allow for individualized attention and the development of strong connections with students.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Valid teaching certification in Special Education Proven classroom experience with co-teaching or inclusion models Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt to diverse learning needs Enthusiasm for student growth and advocacy
Responsibilities:
Co-teach in inclusive classrooms, ensuring all students have access to high-quality instruction Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in partnership with other professionals Support academic and behavioral interventions based on student needs Engage in collaborative planning with general education teachers and related service staff Maintain accurate records, monitor student progress, and participate in IEP meetings as required Foster positive, inclusive classroom environments that celebrate each learner's strengths
