Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lead Teacher to inspire and guide young learners in a vibrant educational environment. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes early childhood development, literacy, math skills, and social-emotional growth. Your expertise will help create engaging lesson plans, manage classroom activities, and support individualized learning plans to ensure every child reaches their full potential. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example, mentor fellow educators, and make a lasting impact on children's lives through innovative teaching strategies and compassionate care. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including Montessori or preschool methodologies. Lead classroom activities that promote literacy, math, behavioral health, and social skills tailored to diverse learning needs. Manage classroom behavior using effective behavioral therapy techniques and behavioral management strategies to create a positive learning environment. Collaborate with families, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to support children's Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and developmental goals. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and teaching staff, providing guidance on lesson planning, classroom management, and child engagement techniques. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and adapt instructional approaches accordingly. Maintain detailed records of student progress, behavior reports, and communication logs while ensuring compliance with privacy policies. Skills Proven experience in classroom management within early childhood or special education settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, including early intervention strategies for children with disabilities or developmental delays. Expertise in curriculum development for literacy education, math instruction, and behavioral health initiatives. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with parents, colleagues, and external specialists. Ability to design engaging lesson plans that incorporate speech therapy techniques and library services when applicable. Familiarity with IEP processes, behavioral therapy methods, and standardized testing procedures. Demonstrated ability to work with children with autism or other developmental disabilities in inclusive settings. Experience in private school environments or Montessori preschool settings is preferred. Passion for mentoring young educators while fostering an inclusive classroom atmosphere that celebrates diversity and individual growth.
