Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired to provide itinerant services across the district in Suffolk, VA. This role supports students in grades K-12 and involves collaboration with an existing virtual TVI already on assignment. (Second virtual TVI positions are not being considered at this time.) •

Caseload:

Approximately 20 students (Grades K-12) District-wide itinerant service delivery model •

Requirements:

Valid Virginia Department of Education License - Visually Impaired Students (required) Minimum of 2 years of recent teaching experience Ability to write and implement IEPs Experience collaborating with related service providers •

Key Responsibilities:

Provide itinerant vision services across multiple school sites Support students with visual impairments in academic access and independence Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs Collaborate with general education staff, related service providers, and families Support assistive technology and accessibility needs as appropriate Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled
