Job Description

Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract We are seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students across a school district. This role offers the opportunity to provide itinerant services to a diverse caseload while working in a collaborative and student-focused educational environment.

        Pay Rate:
        $42-$47 per hour Responsibilities
        • Provide direct and consultative services to students with visual impairments
        • Travel between school sites to deliver itinerant support
        • Develop, write, and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
        • Collaborate with related service providers, teachers, and families
        • Adapt instructional materials to ensure accessibility for students
        • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
        • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines Requirements
        • Active Virginia Department of Education license in Visually Impaired Students required
        • Minimum of 2 years of recent teaching experience required
        • Experience writing and implementing IEPs required
        • Strong collaboration and communication skills
        • Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple sites
