Summer Camp Teacher (School-Aged)

Responsibilities:

• Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in your care
• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and educational programs
• Supervise and engage children in play and learning activities
• Maintain a clean and organized childcare space
• Monitor children's behavior and intervene when necessary
• Communicate with parents about their child's progress and any concerns
• Follow all health and safety guidelines

Experience:

• Previous experience in School-aged care, childcare, or related field is preferred
• Familiarity with first aid procedures and CPR certification is a plus
• Experience working with students in a classroom or daycare setting is beneficial
• Knowledge of classroom management techniques
• Understanding of child development principles and practices
• Experience working with Elementary schoolers and providing age-appropriate care
• Background in special education is an asset

Skills:

• Strong caregiving skills, including patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with children
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for children of diverse backgrounds
• Organizational skills to plan activities, manage time effectively, and maintain records Little Lamplight Child Care is located in International Christian Church.
