In this dynamic role, you will partner with a lead teacher to create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for toddlers. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire young learners to explore, discover, and grow through innovative curriculum development and personalized care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence early childhood development positively while fostering a love of learning in our youngest students. Duties Collaborate with the lead teacher to plan and implement age-appropriate lessons that promote literacy, math, physical activity, and social-emotional skills tailored for two-year-olds Support daily classroom routines, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and outdoor play, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment Use behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions and resolve conflicts effectively Engage children in activities that stimulate curiosity and support developmental milestones related to language, motor skills, and cognitive growth Maintain detailed documentation of each child's progress, including assessments aligned with early childhood education standards and standardized testing when applicable Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's development, milestones, and classroom experiences Assist in classroom management by organizing materials, setting up learning centers, and ensuring a clean, safe space for children Requirements Prior experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting, specifically with toddlers or two-year-olds Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies Strong skills in curriculum development tailored for early learners with an emphasis on literacy education and Montessori methods preferred Experience in classroom management, lesson planning, and implementing behavior management techniques Familiarity with special education practices and child welfare standards to support diverse learning needs Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families Ability to work actively on your feet throughout the day while maintaining a lively, positive attitude This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to fostering a joyful learning environment for young children.
