To Be Determined Job Description The Lead Teacher will oversee/supervise/coach the teachers within the program. It is expected that the Lead Teacher will model trauma informed practices, while setting clear and consistent boundaries across all learning environments. The Lead Teacher will offer regular and consistent feedback to teachers in the program. The teachers are responsible for providing high quality and effective instruction for students. The teacher's primary responsibilities are 1) student learning and 2) engaging in collaborative problem solving with others to support students' therapeutic success and meet their educational goals.

Qualifications:

• A licensed educator
• Work experience supporting teens and/or young adults Reports to: Executive Director Responsibilities Student Learning
• Maintain a learning environment that meets the educational and therapeutic needs of students. This may include using non-traditional educational strategies such as moving lessons outside, taking field trips and/or using projects based learning or service learning as student's needs require.
• Develop and lead instructional plans for individual and/or groups of students
• Utilize appropriate (age and developmental) instructional materials
• Oversee and report on student progress as required by the students' IEP and Connected Circles proficiencies
• Collaborate effectively with Connectors to maximize student learning
• Provide specialized instruction in a basic skill area
• Collect data & provides input on IEP goal development
• Consult with the teachers around strategies for teaching and providing accommodations
• Supervise other teachers in the program, meeting on a regular and consistent basis
• Serve as part of the Connected Circles Leadership Team
• Collaborate with the Lead Connector to create and maintain the daily schedule
• Oversee individualized academic programs for all students (ex. Project-based learning, proficiencies, report cards, senior projects) Additionally
• Comply with all policies and procedures as set out in the Connected Circles Employee Handbook
• Participate and/or lead in all required meetings as well as in-service trainings and staff development activities
• Transport students as necessary for school activities
• Complete other duties as assigned
