Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Key Qualifications and Experience:
Holds current Special Education teaching certification meeting all state requirements Demonstrated experience with individualized education plans (IEPs), progress monitoring, and adapting curriculum Commitment to in-person instruction for the entire contract period (no virtual options) Skilled in building positive relationships with students, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams Flexible and adaptable, ready to work with varying caseloads (to be discussed during interviews) Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilitiesPrimary Responsibilities:
Deliver in-person instruction tailored to diverse learning needs and IEP goals Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure student success Develop and implement targeted lesson plans and behavioral strategies Track student progress, prepare reports, and participate in IEP meetings Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines Foster an inclusive, supportive, and respectful classroom culture This position runs from August 28, 2026, through June 18, 2027, with a standard school-week schedule of 37.5 hours.
