Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Multiple full-time contract opportunities are available for skilled Special Education Teachers at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. These positions focus on supporting students in self-contained classrooms, with a strong emphasis on autism support and therapeutic interventions for those who have experienced trauma.
Opportunities include:
Elementary (K-5): Serve in an autism-focused classroom for up to 6 students, utilizing structured strategies tailored to individual learning needs. Middle School (Grades 6-8): Provide direction in a therapeutic setting with a caseload of up to 10 students, emphasizing trauma-informed practices and social-emotional regulation. High School (Grades 9-12): Lead a self-contained therapeutic classroom for up to 12 students, supporting academic growth and resilience in older students facing emotional and behavioral challenges.Required Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher, particularly in self-contained settings Solid background working with students diagnosed with autism (K-5 role) Experience supporting children with trauma backgrounds (Required for grades 6-12 roles) Knowledge of implementing IEPs and evidence-based interventions Strong classroom management and collaborative skills Ability to adapt strategies to meet individual student needsKey Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs Foster a safe, structured, and nurturing environment Utilize specialized strategies to promote academic, social, and behavioral growth Work closely with staff, families, and support teams to ensure best outcomes for each student Maintain required documentation and communication Bring your passion for supporting learners with diverse needs to a setting where your skills are valued.
