Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract If you are a dedicated Special Education professional with robust experience in virtual case management and a keen eye for detail, this contract role offers a rewarding opportunity. Step into a pivotal position serving as a remote high school SPED case manager and coordinator, with responsibility for a caseload of 45 students across two grades. This full-time, school-year assignment aligns with the academic calendar, keeping you engaged throughout the year.
Key Responsibilities:
Take primary responsibility for case management for high school students, ensuring IEP compliance and exceptional support. Coordinate and lead IEP meetings, evaluations, and re-evaluations, maintaining timely and thorough documentation. Write, maintain, and track IEPs, ensuring all deadlines and compliance standards are met. Engage in consistent collaboration with a core team of teachers and service providers to support shared students across the grades. Maintain ongoing communication with staff and families on student progress, goals, and concerns. Analyze academic and behavioral data to drive IEP decisions and support individualized instruction. Oversee the implementation of accommodations and modifications across instructional settings.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Vermont Special Educator licensure (VT
DOE SPED
credentialing required). Previous experience as a Vermont virtual SPED case manager. Demonstrated excellence in IEP writing, compliance, and case management. Superb organizational skills and attention to deadlines. Effective communicator and collaborative partner with educators and families. At least two supervisor references from prior virtual SPED roles.
