Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher interested in making a meaningful difference in the lives of students for the remainder of the school year. This position is located near Norwich, VT, and offers the flexibility to work part-time or full-time based on your availability. You'll work closely with a small, dedicated life skills classroom, providing direct support and tailored instruction to a group of five students.

Key Qualifications:

Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-specific) Demonstrated experience working with students with diverse learning needs Ability to develop and adapt life skills curriculum for individual student strengths and goals Strong communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and colleagues Patience, flexibility, and genuine enthusiasm for supporting student growth

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction in a life skills classroom setting for five students with varied needs Develop, modify, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in line with student goals Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' unique learning needs Track student progress and provide regular updates to families and support staff Collaborate with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other educational professionals as part of a supportive team
