Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as an in-person Special Education professional for the 2026-27 academic year. Positions are available for dedicated educators who thrive in collaborative, student-centered environments and are adept at providing high-quality services and case management.
Open roles include:
Middle School Special Educator delivering services and case management within a supportive, inclusive school setting. Middle School Special Educator focused on direct services, collaborating closely with a remote Case Coordinator to ensure comprehensive student support. High School Special Educator offering in-person specialized instruction and managing caseloads to facilitate student growth and success. These roles offer a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week, beginning August 28, 2026 and continuing through June 18, 2027.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current credentials in Special Education per state requirements. Experience with middle or high school student populations preferred. Strong background in case management, instructional adaptations, and collaborative practices. Eagerness to deliver all services in person (remote not available for these roles). Commitment to fostering positive, inclusive learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs). Deliver effective, evidence-based instruction tailored to diverse learning needs. Maintain timely, accurate records and manage documentation in compliance with state and district policies. Partner with general education staff, families, and support agencies to advocate for student success. Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed. You'll be central to helping students achieve their full potential alongside supportive colleagues and a forward-thinking educational environment.
