Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference by supporting students and fostering growth as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant educational environment. Multiple opportunities are available across grade levels, all full-time and supporting self-contained classrooms tailored to unique learning needs.
Three contract positions are open:
Elementary Level (K-5 Autism): Self-contained classroom focused on students with autism Caseload of up to 6 students Deep commitment to individualized educational methods Middle School (Therapeutic Kids Classroom, Grades 6-8): Self-contained classroom serving therapeutic needs Caseload of up to 10 students Experience working with children who have experienced trauma is essential High School (Therapeutic Kids Classroom, Grades 9-12): Self-contained classroom for therapeutic support Caseload of up to 12 students Must be skilled in supporting students with trauma backgrounds
Qualifications:
Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher Demonstrated experience in special education settings Background working with children with autism and/or trauma Strong desire to foster a nurturing, structured, and responsive learning environment Effective communicator and collaborator with families and multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Foster positive, inclusive classroom communities Utilize evidence-based strategies to support student growth and skill acquisition Maintain detailed records of student progress and adapt instruction as needed Collaborate with related service providers and participate in IEP meetings Take your expertise to the next level in a role that rewards dedication and compassion.
