  • Part-time Founded in 1988 on the belief that every cat matters, Purrfect Pals is working to end cat and kitten homelessness in Puget Sound communities through rescue, placement and prevention services.
Our cat adoption and rehabilitation programs help place homeless cats, including those with special needs, in loving homes. We work to prevent cat homelessness by providing space in our no-kill sanctuary, foster support and comprehensive medical and hospice care. We also oversee the adoption of an average of 350+cats each year. The sanctuary also prides itself in providing rare space for cats with feline leukemia, FIV+, and those with special medical and behavioral issues. We fulfill our mission with passionate and dedicated staff who want to participate in fostering a collaborative, respectful and supportive workplace that encourages innovation and inspires accountability. Position Summary Our Cat Care Specialists are responsible for maintaining a safe and sanitary facility for cats and people and providing exceptional, humane handling and care for all our cats. They ensure that all our cats' nutrition, housing and basic medical needs are met on a daily basis. Position Responsibilities Providing compassionate and high-quality care for cats and kittens in our facility. Feeding, grooming, and socializing cats. Cleaning and maintaining cat living areas, rooms, cat condos and litter boxes to ensure a clean and sanitary environment. Assisting with behavioral assessments and implementing enrichment activities to promote the physical and mental health of our cats. Monitoring and reporting any signs of illness or distress to the veterinary team promptly. Collaborating with volunteers and other team members to create a positive and nurturing environment for our cats. Other duties, as assigned. Position Requirements Previous experience working with cats in a shelter, veterinary clinic, or similar environment is preferred. A genuine love and understanding of feline behavior and welfare. Ability to handle cats of various temperaments, including under-socialized and shy cats, with patience and care. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed. Must be able to work Tuesday through Thursday 8am

  • 4:30pm (28 hours total) Conditions and Physical Requirements Ability to safely and repeatedly lift 50 lbs.
