Job Description UW Medicine-Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN) has an outstanding opportunity for a Temporary Program Operations and Data Specialist.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday•Friday 8 hour day shifts during business hours This position works onsite at UW Medicine's campuses in the University District, the Roosevelt District, and the Northgate District of Seattle This is a temporary, fixed duration position. We expect this position to last for 12 months.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION UW
Medicine OB/GYN is proud to provide a full spectrum of services for patients, including expert counseling on family planning, pregnancy, and birth control, wellness and preventive services, and care for both normal and high-risk pregnancies. Our department also includes a healthcare research division, led by nationally regarded clinicians and scientists.
POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
This is a back-office healthcare position, focused primarily on data analysis Serve as a key operational partner to the Assistant Administrator of Ambulatory Care Play a direct role supporting statewide reproductive healthcare access programs Position is eligible for the same healthcare and retirement benefits as permanent UW staff
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Partners directly with the Assistant Administrator of Ambulatory Care to identify barriers to patient care Performs data mining, interpretation, analysis, and reporting Reviews and analyzes operational and programmatic data, benchmarks, trends, and best practices to inform workflow development, strategic priorities, and performance improvement initiatives Identifies operational challenges and collaborates with leadership to improve patient access, care coordination, efficiency, and patient experience Consults with UW Medicine operational leaders, clinic managers, providers, and external stakeholders (such as the Department of Health) to improve processes, remove barriers, and support programmatic growth Maintains an understanding of program-specific patient pathways, referral processes, and barriers to care to support continuity across settings Supports meetings, workgroups, and collaborative initiatives focused on statewide reproductive healthcare access
REQUIREMENTS 1
year of experience interpreting and analyzing business data Working knowledge of Tableau and Microsoft Visio Comfortability analyzing data and presenting outcomes to business leaders Working knowledge of healthcare terminology An Associate's Degree in Health Sciences, Business, or a related field; or equivalent work experience An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for stated requirements
