Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Special Education Teaching Certification (state-issued) Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education or a related field Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Strong understanding of a variety of instructional strategies for students with disabilities Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and support staff Passion for fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented atmosphere for all learners
Key Responsibilities:
Design and adapt lesson plans to meet individualized educational goals for each student Assess student progress and participate in IEP meetings, contributing meaningful data and insights Deliver engaging instruction using evidence-based strategies, both in small groups and one-on-one settings Collaborate with general education teachers and specialists to ensure students are fully supported Maintain up-to-date records and compliance with all state and federal guidelines regarding special education Foster a positive, patient, and encouraging classroom environment that prioritizes student growth and confidence This contract role is perfect for an educator enthusiastic about making a daily difference for students and their families.
