Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Coordinator to inspire and support students with diverse learning needs. In this role, you will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs), foster an inclusive classroom environment, and collaborate with families, therapists, and other educators to promote student success. Your energy and commitment will help empower students with disabilities to reach their full potential through engaging instruction and personalized support. Duties Design and deliver tailored lesson plans that align with curriculum standards while accommodating individual student needs Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs/Service Plans to ensure progress in academic, social, and behavioral goals Utilize evidence-based teaching strategies such as behavioral therapy, speech therapy techniques, and literacy education to enhance learning outcomes Manage classroom behavior through effective classroom management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, and other specialists to support holistic student development Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to evaluate student progress and inform instructional adjustments Provide tutoring, mentoring, and early intervention services to support students' academic growth in subjects like math, reading, and library services Oversee a team of aides to ensure students are being successful and achieving growth. Collaborate with the local public schools Special Ed Case Managers and IEP Teams when identifying students who may qualify for IEPs/504s/Service Plans Skills Proven experience in special education settings with classroom experience working with students with disabilities Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education, and preschool experience Expertise in curriculum development tailored for learners with autism, developmental disabilities, and/or speech and language Excellent communication skills for collaborating with students, families, teachers and multidisciplinary teams Ability to develop engaging lesson plans incorporating Montessori or other specialized educational approaches like preschool or private school experience Proficiency in behavioral health practices and behavior management techniques to foster a positive learning environment Familiarity with IEP processes, standardized testing procedures, and literacy education strategies Experience working with children in various settings including early intervention programs or childcare environments Skills in tutoring, mentoring, and providing behavioral health support to promote social-emotional well-being Join us in making a meaningful difference by empowering children through innovative teaching methods and compassionate support. Pay:
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
