Full Job Description Special Education Teacher Kenosha School District Wisconsin Pay Rate:
$48 to $50/hour
Assignment Dates:
August 24, 2026 June 4, 2027
Schedule:
Monday Friday, 37.5 hours per week Position Overview The Kenosha School District is seeking Special Education Teachers to join its team for the 2026 2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to support students with diverse learning needs in a collaborative educational environment. Teachers will provide specialized instruction, develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), collaborate with general education staff and families, and help students achieve academic and developmental goals.

Monday Friday Elementary school locations have a half-day on Fridays; contractors will work a full day.

Varies by assignment Responsibilities Deliver specialized instruction to students with disabilities. Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs. Assess student progress and maintain required documentation. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, and families. Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet student needs. Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations. Required Qualifications Active Wisconsin Special Education Teacher License. Licensure verified through the Wisconsin DPI website. Certification in one of the following: Early Childhood Middle Childhood, OR Middle Childhood Early Adolescence.
