What We're Looking For:
Active and valid Special Education Teacher certification Cross-categorical teaching experience in K-12 settings highly preferred Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring Adept at adapting materials and strategies to meet a variety of learning styles Collaborative approach—able to work closely with general education teachers, specialists, and parents Strong organizational and communication skills
What You'll Do:
Deliver engaging instruction and specialized support to students with varying disabilities Develop and modify IEPs, monitor student progress, and maintain records in compliance with regulations Implement appropriate instructional and behavioral strategies for individual and small group success Advocate for student needs, ensuring equitable access to learning opportunities and classroom resources Communicate regularly with families and school staff to support student growth and celebrate achievements Contribute to a positive, inclusive school climate
