Job Description

  • Job Title:
    Specialized Pediatric Behavior Support Partner (In-Home)
  • This role begins with a dedicated caseload of 5-8 hours per week . As your rapport with the family grows, there is immediate potential to scale your hours by accepting additional clients based on your availability and our community's needs.
  • Position Summary:
  • We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Specialized Pediatric Behavior Support Partner to join our team in Dodge County.
This role focuses on providing support to children with diverse behavioral needs within their homes and potentially out in the community. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with families and other professionals to create a nurturing environment, promoting positive behavioral changes and enhancing the quality of life for each child. They are passionate about individualized care, helping others, and continuing to learn with a growth mindset. Enjoying working with children, teaching through play, and having the ability to adapt to the variety of needs and goals of each client.
  • The ideal candidate for this particular client must be comfortable and experienced working with non-verbal children with intense support needs including maladaptive behavior challenges. Familiarity implementing communication strategies preferred.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver personalized behavioral support to children in their home environment, and potentially in community outings, catering to each child's unique needs and developmental stage.
Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team. Provide training and guidance to family members and caregivers to ensure continuity and consistency in behavior management strategies with the support of Care Coordinators. Maintain detailed documentation and reports on the child's progress, behavior patterns, and any changes, setbacks, and progress. Communicate regularly with parents, caregivers, and team members to discuss observations, improvements, and adjustments to interventions. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages the child's social and emotional development.
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, social work, or related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
Certification in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or related qualifications is highly desirable. Experience working with children with behavioral challenges, preferably in an in-home setting. Strong understanding of child developmental stages and behavioral intervention strategies. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a collaborative team. Flexibility to adapt to varying family needs and work environments.
  • Working Conditions:
  • This position requires traveling to clients' homes and potentially outdoors or the on community outings; reliable transportation and a valid driver's license with insurance are necessary. Current core service hours focus on after-school and weekend support; however, we offer a flexible scheduling model that allows for increased hours and shift variety during summer break and school holidays
