  • Special Education Teacher Middle School Job Type Description Berkeley County Schools seeks qualified applicants for a Multi-Categorical Special Education Teacher.
The successful applicant will provide instruction and related services as identified on IEPs to students with varying disabilities in grades 6-8; ensure all procedural safeguards are followed; provide appropriate instruction to assist IEP students in reaching goals; establishing and following behavior management plans, and performing other duties and responsiblities as assigned. Salary Schedule Berkeley County Schools Teacher Pay Scale based upon degree level and verified years of experience. 200-day employment term. If a NBCT accepts the position, they will be paid an additional $2000 stipend in addition to their salary, benefits, and NBCT stipend. Specialized Skills A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and hold or be eligible for West Virginia licensure with endorsement(s) in Multi-categorical Special Education with appropriate grade levels. ABA trained is preferred but the successful applicant will be provided ABA training if needed. Additional Job Information If a certified candidate is unavailable for this position, then an applicant who is eligible for a first-class permit, alternative certification, Teacher-in-Residence, or a perm sub can be considered.
