Job Description

Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher (SPED) to serve as an Elementary Resource Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This role offers the opportunity to provide targeted support to students in a collaborative and inclusive school environment. Position Overview
    Start Date:
    August 12, 2026
      End Date:
      End of School Year (EOSY)
        Hours:
        Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
          Student Population:
          Elementary Resource Caseload
            Pay Rate:
            $40-$48 per hour Responsibilities
            • Provide resource support services to students with individualized education plans (IEPs)
            • Deliver small group and individualized instruction based on student needs
            • Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and accommodations
            • Collaborate with general education teachers, staff, and families
            • Track student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
            • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
            • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment Requirements
            • Active Special Education certification required
            • Experience working with elementary students preferred
            • Experience in resource or inclusion settings strongly preferred
            • Strong communication and organizational skills
            • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
