As a Lead Teacher, you'll play a key role in shaping young minds while leading a classroom rooted in our core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Qualifications What You Bring At least 18 years of age Experience working with children in a developmental setting (preferred) Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to lead with professionalism, empathy, and sound judgment Commitment to continuing education (STARS credits) Required within 30 days of hire: CPR, First Aid, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications Alarm/Emergency Procedures training Essential Functions As a Lead Teacher, you will: Create and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans (including Zoo Phonics) Lead and manage a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment Supervise children and activities while maintaining proper ratios at all times Build strong relationships with families through communication and conferences Maintain accurate program records and licensing requirements Support and problem-solve staffing needs and daily challenges Ensure safety across all youth spaces, including transportation Participate in family events, staff meetings, and ongoing training
