DESCRIPTION
Substitute teachers receive short term assigments to cover teacher absences from classroom, and are responsible for following lesson plans to maintain and further student learning. Successful applicants will receive assignments through Frontline substitute scheduling system.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires at minimum a 30 day Substitute Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) Candidates can qualify to apply for this Permit if they have a Bachelor's degree

On June 29, 2024, Governor Gavin Newsom signed a budget trailer bill, SB 153 (Chap. 38, Statutes of 2024), that allows candidates to use their bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education (IHE) as demonstration of the basic skills requirement, effective immediately.

REQUIREMENTS FOR HIRE
