Our junior high program is designed to prepare students for success in high school and beyond through rigorous academics and faith-based leadership opportunities.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Junior High Advanced Math Teacher to lead our upper-level math courses for grades 6-8. This may include Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Geometry, depending on student placement and school curriculum. The ideal candidate will challenge students academically while supporting their individual learning needs in a Christ-centered environment.
REQUIREMENTS
Responsibilities Include:
Teach advanced math classes to middle school students (6th-8th grade) with differentiated instruction Plan engaging lessons that align with California state standards and prepare students for high school math Integrate Catholic values into daily instruction and classroom culture Assess and monitor student progress with formative and summative assessments Collaborate with junior high team members and participate in faculty meetings and school-wide activities Communicate regularly with parents regarding student achievement and growth
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred) Valid California teaching credential or evidence of progress toward one Demonstrated success teaching Algebra I and/or Geometry at the middle school or high school level Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of the Church (practicing Catholic preferred) Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills Ability to challenge advanced learners while supporting a range of abilities
