Substitute Teacher will provide backup teaching services when full-time teachers are unable to work. The Sub will follow the regular teacher's lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate. The Sub may grade classwork, homework, and tests. Must be able to modify teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students. Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment. Some additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Keep records of attendance, accidents, and incidents. Protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. Always ensure the safety of students. Consult with Principal on responsibilities during the teacher's absence. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. Observes all district policies and procedures. Essential Physical Demands:
Constant lifting 5 to 20 pounds Frequent lifting 20 to over 50 pounds Constant standing, walking Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, climbing, kneeling. Occasional crawling, sitting, stooping. Certification and Licensing:
Must have a current Substitute License through Colorado Department of Education (CDE). Supervision:
Reports to campus administrator. Does not supervise other staff. Job Classification:
Non-exempt, non-contracted. Benefits eligibility depends on number of hours worked. Candidate Profile Education and Certification:
High School diploma Bachelor's degree (Preferred) Substitute Authorization through CDE (Required) Experience and Skills:
Excellent communication skills. Flexible and maintain a positive attitude. High level of personal organization and planning. Work cooperatively with supervisors and coworkers. Technology proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. Culture and Fit:
