North Routt Community Charter School is seeking qualified Substitute Teachers to support our K-9 Charter School located in beautiful Clark, CO. Ideal candidates will have previous education experience, a desire to work with all students and all grade levels, and be able to work with changing roles on a daily basis. This position is considered a temporary/on call position for the school year and is paid on a daily basis at $200.00 per day (7:30am-3:30pm). Partial days are prorated at $25/ hour. At NRCCS we serve 89 students grades K-8 in mixed grade classrooms. Our classrooms currently have the following configuration K/1, 2/3, 4/5 and 6/7/8 are split by subject between 2 teachers. Subsitute shift opportunities are sent by email from the NRCCS office. This position is not eligible for benefits. In the absence of the classroom teacher, the substitute is responsible for providing instruction and managing the learning environment; support instruction and assessment aligned with District student outcomes and achievement standards; adapt instruction to meet the learner needs of all students increasing opportunities for advancing learning and achievement; maintain positive interpersonal relationships with student, parents, staff and community members.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report to the assigned building Office Manager upon arrival for the work day.
- Implement the teacher's plans and schedules to be adhered to during the school day.
- Maintain the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which assigned.
- Follow & teach the approved SSSD curriculum as provided in lesson plans provided by the teacher.
- Promote and maintain student behavior expectations conducive to learning and maximize learning time.
- Encourage, monitor, and promote student progress.
- Maintain student confidentiality.
- Assume the responsibility for overseeing pupil behavior in the classroom, during lunch, activity periods, and out-of-class settings.
- Provide a summary report in writing on the day's activities at the conclusion of each day for the teacher.
- Work cooperatively with all school personnel and i nteract in a professional manner with students, parents and staff.
- Follow all policies, rules, and procedures to which teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates.
- Adhere to the established policies and regulations of the School and District.
- Perform other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a current Colorado Teacher License or currentColorado Substitute Authorization:
High School Diploma or GED required for 1-year Authorization If previously licensed out-of-state teacher, may be eligible for a 3-year Authorization BA Degree required for 3 or 5-year AuthorizationESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in education. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to copy, coordinate, instruct, evaluate and negotiate. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies. Ability to discipline students consistent with district procedures. Ability to maintain confidentiality.Physical Demands:
