Job Summary:
To provide high-quality instruction and classroom management for students in grades PK-5 when the regular teacher is absent. The primary goal is to follow the established curriculum and ensure a safe, productive, and consistent learning environment. Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery:
Follow and implement the teacher's daily lesson plans for core subjects (Math, Reading, Science, Social Studies).
Classroom Management:
Maintain order using the teacher's established rules; manage student transitions between subjects, lunch, and recess.
Student Supervision:
Ensure student safety at all times, including during hallway transitions, playground duty, and dismissal.
Administrative Tasks:
Take accurate attendance and lunch counts; collect completed student work.
Communication:
Leave a detailed end-of-day report for the permanent teacher regarding student progress, behavior, and any incomplete tasks.
