Substitute Teacher Reports to : School Director Work location : The Bilgrav School (www.bilgravschool.org)
Salary :
Depending on availability, education, experience & certifications - $100 to $135 per school day School hours : 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m (somewhat flexible) Ability to commute : The Bilgrav School, 307 Evernia Street, 2nd Floor, West Palm Beach, FL 33401
Responsibilities:
Looking to make a difference in a child's life? The Bilgrav School, a nonprofit private school serving students with dyslexia in grades K-8, is seeking a passionate, patient, and dependable substitute teacher. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with students, providing academic support, maintaining a positive learning environment, and ensuring appropriate supervision throughout the school day. Candidates with experience teaching dyslexic learners are highly preferred.
Experience/Qualifications:
Love for children and passion for teaching & tutoring Bachelor's degree in education preferred Knowledge of or experience with the Orton-Gillingham approach is preferred, but not required Ability to work independently Experience working with children required Ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds Mentoring experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience using computers and other technology
